My background in electronic engineering means I am comfortable working with researchers, engineers and technical specialists — but my job is ultimately to make their ideas understandable and compelling to people who aren’t experts.

I understand the subject before I film it
I trained as an electronic engineer before becoming a photographer and filmmaker. That technical background still shapes my work. I’m comfortable discussing complex subjects with researchers and engineers, understanding how things work and – most importantly – figuring out what actually needs to be explained to the audience. I’ve spent the past 15 years working in documentary, commercial and institutional filmmaking, and currently produce scientific communication films for the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
