“Lost Land” is the story of the combat of Majuli island’s inhabitants against the ongoing erosion of the river Brahmaputra: a farmer who has lost her land, a potter who struggles to find the right material for his vases and a traditional mask maker who is afraid the very culture of the island might one day disappear, taken away by the river’s current.
