For the German television programme Minet TV we created a series about minorities in India. For example, one episode was devoted to the hardship Badaga farmers are going through on the Nilgiri plateau (Tamil Nadu) due to a global tea production crisis. Another episode was devoted to the central role of tribal groups in the Theyyam festival in Northern Kerala, where an otherwise marginalised untouchable caste takes centre stage performing the ancient dance of gods. A third episode focussed on the Armenians of Kolkata, once rich and powerful merchants, who are now dwindling in numbers and losing their economical dominance.
